The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner aren't the only stars of Eclipse. If
supporting actress
Jodelle Ferland does a good job, she may get a major movie vehicle of her own.

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is releasing an additional element of the vampire tale.
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella
is a 192-pager following the newborn as she's recruited for the army hunting down Bella and Edward.

The short book will hit shelves on June 5—just 25 days before fans get their first look at Bree on the big screen.

One dollar from every book sold in the U.S. will go to the American Red Cross International Response Fund to support disaster relief efforts in Haiti and Chile.

'Breaking Dawn' And Other Films That Might Go 3-D

"Breaking Dawn": In February, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Summit Entertainment was exploring the possibility of making the final film — or films, as has also been rumored — in the "Twilight" series into 3-D movies. That possibility has split both the "Twilight" community and the franchise's cast. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson seem to find the idea a little nutty, while Ashley Greene is keeping an open mind.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides": Great strides have been made in 3-D technology since the last "Pirates" film wrapped its shoot in late 2006. At ShoWest last month, producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV News that he was exploring the possibility of making "On Stranger Tides" into a 3-D release. Disney has also been at the forefront of live-action 3-D films, from "Alice in Wonderland" to "Tron Legacy." The next "Pirates" is slated to begin filming in June.

"Transformers 3": In February, Michael Bay said he was testing 3-D technology with an eye toward releasing the third installment of this franchise in three dimensions. He's on record about being hesitant to embrace a post-production conversion, and there are rumors that he found 3-D cameras too unwieldy to use. So which 3-D process he might use remains unclear. The film is set to shoot in May, so we might know soon if Bay does indeed go the 3-D route.

Miley Cyrus Says Next Album Has A "Techno Vibe"

What can we expect from Cyrus' next album?
"My record is coming out this summer," she said. "I'm excited about that. I'm looking forward to that, and then hopefully I can continue to do more films. The album is a little different. It's kind of poppier, but then it still has an edge. All of my music kind of has to. I think it's really fun. It's definitely a good summer CD. It's good to blast in your car."

She said this next album will have a bit of a Lady Gaga influence to it. "My new record has more of a techno vibe on some stuff. It's fun," she said. "You know, I just want to kind of do all different types of music, same as I do with movies. I never want to get stuck in a rut and just do one thing."

Miley said she's ready for a break. "I want to continue to do film. Later in life, another record. But for now, I'd like to focus on movies."
